Some good news coming out of DCS World third party developer IndiaFoxtEcho as they report that their MB-339 project for the sim is making good progress and that they are nearly ready to submit the project to Eagle Dynamics for evaluation.
Ready for takeoff?
Two new screenshots and a status update accompany the latest update on the DCS: MB-339. This Italian-made advanced trainer and light attack aircraft started life in DCS World as a modification before heading over to Microsoft Flight Simulator and has now circled back to become a more fully fledged aircraft project in DCS.
The update provides a link to an updated project document for the DCS: MB-339 listing out all of the features and subsystems of the jet and what completion state they are in. The ones marked in green or “completed” dominate the list while some of the still to be done components are well underway.
The news gets better as they report that they intend to submit the aircraft to Eagle Dynamics for evaluation in October.
Our current goal is to provide Eagle Dynamics with an evaluation build before the end of October.

That is great news! I would caution against thinking that release will be imminent after October as the evaluation process can take time and we’ve seen some third party projects delay for months more as things are worked on prior to release. Still, this is a vital step on the road to release for this module.
Stay tuned for more!
