The first release from Aerobask for X-Plane 12 is now out on the X-Plane.org store featuring the rather unique ViperJet. It comes loaded with features so let’s have a look!
Civil aviation fighter jet?
The ViperJet is a really interesting airplane with fighter jet looks and even a bit of performance while being fully intended for the civil aviation market. The aircraft is a kit build and features a J85 engine, glass cockpit avionics, and a 456 knot top speed. This unique type of airplane is right up Aerobask’s alley with their collection of unique airplanes.
Among the features for this X-Plane 12 release are a completely new aircraft built from the ground up for 12. Flight model by X-Aerodynamics. FMOD sound by the legendary Daniela Rodriguez Carreri, 4K PBR textures, custom coded instruments with optional synthetic vision (by OscarPilot), HUD, AviTab support, RealityXP GTN750 support (separate purchase), and the usual assortment of X-Plane 12 features like rain and defrost effects.

Aerobask are offering this aircraft up for sale on X-Plane.org for $34.95 USD. You can also learn more about it by visiting the Aerobask website.
Is that activation free like the old version or did they add an activation?

I’m not sure. I haven’t activated anything for XP12 yet but I would assume its the same key code with activation?

Slick airplane. Really love the look. Can’t believe you can build this thing as a kit.

Yeah it seems pretty wild to be a “just a kit” but I guess with the right materials and tools you really can build anything!

Nice jet! Definitely needs curves/saturation on the controls, otherwise it’s all over the place.
Haven’t RTFM’d yet, but managed to get it around the circuit a few times without breaking anything.
Extremely fast acceleration & speed (too fast?), but the scenery goes by quickly 🙂
Speed brakes, 3-stage flaps, glass cockpit, bubble canopy – really a great ride!
