SimWorks Studios announces launch date for amphibian Kodiak

One of the airplanes that has impressed me the most in the pantheon of MSFS third party releases is SimWorks Studios Kodiak 100. It’s one of the best GA bush airplanes available in the sim and it has a new variant that brings us the amphibian version.

Kodiak 100 Amphibian release date

Bundled together with an official trailer is news that SWS’ Kodiak 100 is coming next week on October 12. Announced on their Facebook page, this variant of the Kodiak 100 will be sold on the SWS website for €14.99.

Existing customers with the conventional wheeled variant will be able to get it for €9.99. Third party storefronts will also see this version become available.

Kodiak 100 update

SWS are also pushing a major update to their wheeled version of the Kodiak out on the same day. The new version will have default support for the NXi G1000 now part of Sim Update 10. Engine stresses have been reworked and tweaks to the engine refresh process should make blown engines less likely.

Flight modeling has also seen an update which should solve some sink rate issues.

In short, lots of updates are coming for fans of SWS’ Kodiak 100. If you’re interested in it you should check out my recent review as well!

Sweet news! Been waiting for this patch for a while. I like the discount for amphibian for current owners of wheeled, I was on the fence about buying, but for 10 Euro, probably worth it.
