Presenting “Fly” a Microsoft Flight Simulator cinematic

It’s been years since I did a cinematic for fun, however, at the start of 2022 I started recording short clips from my Microsoft Flight Simulator flights. That turned into a large collection of clips that later became a cinematic presentation and now I’m very pleased to be able to share that with you.

Fly!

The concept behind this cinematic was to feature the beauty and adventure of flight. I’ve covered a lot of ground over the last year flying in Microsoft Flight Simulator and this video sought to take many of the clips that I captured and bring them together into a single video.

I’ve flown over North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia throughout the course of 2022 and done it in a variety of aircraft. Many of these journeys I’ve documented in flight journal pieces while others were just for fun.

So, without further delay, please enjoy the presentation. I hope you find it enjoyable!

That was excellent! Really great scenery and skyscape and a huge variety of planes, which you don’t normally get to see. Microsoft’s promos tend to focus on terrain and landmarks, so it’s refreshing to see so much attention paid to the actual aircraft as well as lighting and weather.

I reinstalled this because of your vid. It’s been a while and things have changed quite a bit. I now have gliders and helicopters as well as planes that I thought were Payware.

They’ve added tons of stuff for free. And many more airplanes for just $15 – many of which are really good!

So true. 15 years ago we only had Black Shark and high hopes for Cliffs of Dover. Now you could spend 40 hours a week trying to learn and explore the insane amount of content!

And Happy New Year! Your blog is my key conduit to the flight sim world. 😀
