If you were looking to plunk down some cash on the DCS: F-15E today, you’ll have to wait a couple more days as RAZBAM announces a small delay in the start of the pre-order.
Delayed to Friday
Originally delayed from the start of the month and now delayed just a couple more days, RAZBAM_Prowler announced on the company’s Discord that there is a slight delay on the pre-order.
Dear customers, for reasons beyond ANYONE’S control, the PRE ORDER for the DCS: F-15E Strike Eagle has been moved to this very Friday 17th, remember this is just a PRE ORDER. Sorry for the inconvenience. That is 2 more days, thanks
RAZBAM_Prowler on the RAZBAM Discord
As a reminder, the delay on the pre-order has little else to do with the module’s development which is still reportedly a few months away from early access release. As such, the delay remains largely abstract.
DCS World Weekend News coming up on Friday may be the launch point for both the pre-order and some pre-release hype so stay tuned for that.
Will the sale be in steam?

I don’t know. Steam and DCS pre-order sales have been a fraught affair. Maybe we’ll know more on Friday.

I think it will show up on Steam right away. Maybe a short delay at worst. My last pre-order on Steam was in line with the main site pre-order.

I like how they wrote “ANYONE’S” in capital letters.
Oh, how the forums lit up when that news spread. 🙂

Forums and Discord communities to be sure. At this point, I don’t really see too much to it as the product is still months away.

I have been guilty of paying for a pre-order to support certain developers. But there is no real reason to pre-order anything until the last possible day of the discount. If you pre-order on Friday, what do you get on Friday? Zip.

Yeah that’s generally my take on it. The pre order discount is good and I will take full advantage of it but the delay to the start of it doesn’t make any difference at all.

I will admit, I am curious what exactly happened. Their post sounds like it was something rather ludicrous.
Recent office moves resulted in a circular forwarding loop that ended in key documents getting delivered to sender? (After traveling to the intended destination and getting forwarded all the way back?)
