A bit of site news to share. Stormbirds is now on Facebook with its own Facebook page and a link setup to publish a feed of the news here on that social media site. If you want a bit of Stormbirds in your Facebook feed you can now enjoy it there too.

Connection time…

Last month, price increases on the Twitter API caused WordPress (the site that hosts Stormbirds) to pull support for Twitter posts. Things continued on for a little while but eventually the feature was shut off. The situation is, of course, a bit of an annoyance but things change and that’s how it goes sometimes. You can read about it here if you want more context.

For the record, I do still have the Stormbirds Twitter account going and when I think of it I will still share posts from time to time. The convenience of the quick share was extremely helpful however.

I did enjoy having an outlet there but with the lack of auto publishing I decided that it’d be nice to have another outlet. WordPress does have a Facebook connection and so I’m taking advantage of that feature to see what managing a Facebook page for this site can do as a hopefully useful means of getting updates.

So, if you use Facebook and you want to receive updates there from Stormbirds, give Stormbirds a follow over there on Facebook.

If you don’t use the social media site, not a problem, carry on, and continue to read things on here as usual. That’s not changing in the slightest!
