HypePerformanceGroup have released their latest product and its a big one. The team, known for their H135 and H145 helicopters have jumped up in size to the 747 and are offering the firefighting version, the SuperTanker, to players together with their mission generation system. Let’s have a look!

Fight fires with the largest aerial tanker in the world

Several 747 jumbo jets have been modified over the years to act as fire fighting tanker aircraft. The largest of their kind, these aircraft can carry 19,600 US gallons or 74,000 L of fire retardant or water depending on the needs of the mission. HPG are letting us experience a piece of that kind of flying with their new 747 for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

The package uses the Asobo 747 as a base and then adds its own set of features and modifications including the CPS (Constant Pressure System) agent drop system with dynamic weight and realistic center of gravity effects. There’s a drop station panel, tanker monitor panel, custom ground handling services, and the ability to let a King Air 350i function as a lead plane. There’s also a couple of liveries and custom crew sounds, visual effects and ground vehicles.

HPG’s built in mission system generates objectives in the sim letting you fly wildfire fighting or oil spill clean-up missions anywhere in the world.

The Super Tanker 747 by HypePerformanceGroup is available today for $19.99 through their website!

  1. Pretty sure I won’t get this, but it is cool.

I have the HPG145 chopper and it’s great. They make very nice stuff.

  2. It’s now been removed from sale as it broke the MS/Asobo EULA for reusing the 747

Have they made a statement about it yet? I had heard about something coming from them and was waiting.

      1. Yep, sadly it’s been removed from sale and they’ll be offering refunds, though it may possibly return at some time: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid02qWRY3Z6D5s2kCpkJ28Kyq6WLS2vjmVKMp2sFByEUHTGE2u5jc8kTxpGZwfc6KajYl&id=100063480372874&sfnsn=scwspmo

Ahh yes I’m aware of that statement but another is forthcoming. I’m holding off on a full story till they post it.

I’ve heard anecdotally that it’s a licensing issue but not via statement yet.
