With their Fokker F28 airliner released, Just Flight have indicated that they are moving some of their team over to develop another highly anticipated project – the Avro Vulcan bomber.

Back on the Vulcan

A development studio like Just Flight are frequently going to adjust their project portfolio and shift around resources as they are needed to finish one product. That usually means that one priority project consumes most of the resources while other products are worked on by specific teams and going by today’s update I think we can surmise that while a lot of the programming effort was invested in the Fokker F28, the artists have been very busy making sure the new Vulcan is up to scratch for MSFS.

They have indicated that 18 liveries are planned to be included with the package that include 8k textures from many of the operational squadrons of the Vulcan, dark grey belly from the ‘Black Buck’ missions flown during the Falklands War. There’s also the short lived Kiwi marked XH562.

Systems work meanwhile we’ve learned were halted but are now back on with the team moving from Fokker to the Vulcan. Despite that brief halt, major systems work is apparently complete and fine tuning is underway. Sound work is intended to be implemented in the coming weeks as well.

Apparently several new features and customizations have been added to the project that make this, according to Just Flight, the most complete simulation of the Vulcan bomber in a flight simulation.

With realistic passenger ,service & cargo doors…reads the blurb..lol. I’m sure fights would break down in the black hole behind, below the pilots, services were lugged aboard by the crew themselves, white boxes of sandwiches…& the cargo had better in and locked, lol
