Considerable attention has been paid to A2A’s new Piper Comanche aircraft release for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Their general aviation airplane may be the most detailed and most immersive experience available in the sim yet and the latest update provides fixes for issues that some users may have experienced since its release last week. Let’s have a look!

Version 1.1 now out!

It’s been just a week since A2A released their Piper Comanche to the world of Microsoft Flight Simulator. The $49.99 USD general aviation aircraft commands a high price but does so with an extreme level of detail that we haven’t seen elsewhere in the sim. Development, however, continues as A2A have solved some bugs noted since release.

Some of the highlights include solving a torque spike bug that caused the aircraft to flip, improving hardware switch support for items such as the autopilot, battery, and starter buttons, improving animation smoothness for control surfaces and yokes. A2A have also solved some truly odd bugs such as the tablet interface not being clickable if the Heavy Division 787 Dreamliner mod is installed.

A complete change log is available here.

It’s true that it’s relatively highly priced at $50, whereas most of the other high fidelity GA addons are at $40 (or less).

Comanche’s AccuSim v2 technology brings truly Next Level fidelity to the sim and honestly surpasses all other GA addons in realism, while still providing a VERY approachable, easy GA steam gauge cockpit & flight experience.

IMHO, spending the extra $10 is an easy decision to make. 🙂
