A couple of news items to report on with Octopus G with an update on their La-7 project and a short music video showing off the aircraft in flight. Here we go!

Status and music

The big news from Octopus G is that their work on the nuances of the DCS World flight model for their La-7 project are now complete. Flight models are a significant part of the project process and so surely this is cause for celebration.

They report that their next steps are to prepare the module for Eagle Dynamics and for “flight worthiness certification.”

To mark the occasion, a video has been released called the “music of flight” and while there are no engine sounds for the La-7 on display in the video it is a beautiful overview of the La-7 flying around in DCS World. The shots are lengthy enough that you can see some of the subtle movements of the aircraft as it flies around showing off the detail work that helps make DCS World aircraft feel so real.

Check it out below.

I’m really looking forward to this one, probably the peak of it’s line.
The engine will sound fantastic and the guns? Well, ANY amount of 20mm’s sounds good and industrial, just like the Russians were want to be at this time!!
    Can’t wait!!
