A few days ago Matt Wagner from Eagle Dynamics posted a video showing off a tutorial on how to use the DCS: F-16C Viper datalink system following some updates planned for a future open beta update. Now we have a complimentary video for the DCS: F/A-18C Hornet offering up a similar update for that jet.
Updates benefit both modules
Although DCS World’s development process has sometimes not gone according to plan, there are aspects of the DCS: F-16C and DCS: F/A-18C development that have gone well and here is just one of those examples where depth and detail additions have benefited both jets at the same time.
The datalink update coming to DCS: F/A-18C is quite similar to the one in the F-16. Via, the SA page, you’ll be able to configure flight and Team Member and Donor information with the Hornet allowing for up to four members and then an additional eight donors. Donors will share target position information while Team Members will also show targeting info so that a flight can better coordinate the contacts that they are locking with their radars.
Watch the video to see it all in action.
