Minor corrections to a few aircraft, a couple of fixed issues and the Flying Circus Vol 3 aircraft set grows by one with the release of the F.E.2b in update 5.108. Here’s the latest.

Changes and additions

The Flying Circus Vol 3 aircraft has gained another airplane with update 5.108. The Royal Aircraft Factory’s F.E.2b is now part of Flying Circus Vol 3. This two seater puts a gunner in a rather precarious gunner position up front and mounts the engine in the back in a pusher propeller configuration.

There are some other updates too. The La-5 and La-5F have their oil temperature gauge corrected, the Li-2 clock shows flight time, Attack Support and Defense Support missions have been added to Normandy and Rhineland career mode, and the U-2VS now has its bomb sight added. Cool.

    1. It’s free. You cannot really ‘but it’.

But I understand your sentiment. Oddly, the company seems determined to alienate as many people as possible.

  3. I really don’t get what the problem is with people hating IL2. Still works fine for me. Why would I unstall somthing I paid for and enjoy? Seems like very strange behavour to me. Why do people want to punish themselves??

    1. It’s self-righteous nonsense. Imagine banning yourself from a video game because it comes from a country you dislike.

      1. I see it as any purchase. You have to evaluate it through your own views and experience. If it makes sense to you to buy, buy. If not, not. I’m here to hopefully add some extra information to that decision making but everyone ultimately has to decide for themselves.

    1. Mass psychosis. I dont agree with a lot of the things the US does and think they cause a lot of problems in the world – but this doesn’t stop me from flying an f16 in DCS and especially a WWII Mustang in IL2.

It really is silly. People need to get off their high horse. Flight sims nowadays are far and few, we should support devs that are still keeping our hobby going. Screw politics, there’s too much of it everywhere already.

      1. I don’t think mass psychosis applies here. For some, the current events will matter a lot and for others it may matter only a little. As always, the best thing is to get the information and then make that decision as an individual. Folks will make different decisions.

    2. In my experience, all people are strange 😉 But more seriously I always advocate for folks to get as much info as they can on the product they are buying and then make a decision for themselves. For some, country of origin will matter a lot and for others very little. The important part is to gather as much info as possible.

    3. It’s does only have a postbox office at Cyprus, trying to avoid future financial blockages from the US, UK and Western Europe as being the only interesting and biggest market for this flysim. If they can not sell here it’s over and out.

  5. True, it is up to each person to decide how much world events effect their personal decisions regarding which flight sims they want to support.

  6. That the company now has a larger Russian element is – for me – far less important than the drift towards a closed and unengaging approach.

Post-Jason, some of the fun seems to have disappeared. But the product remains very good.
