Eagle Dynamic’s Matt Wagner was recently on the Mover and Gonky show chatting with the hosts and breaking down the latest DCS World 2024 and Beyond trailer. There’s some interesting tidbits that we learned so let’s check it out.
Updated: Fixed the spelling for Gonky and new information from Matt Wagner reports that it’s Baghdad airport rather than Bagram Air Base.

First off, I definitely encourage you if you have time to check out the video, like it, subscribe and so forth! While listening in I did learn a few interesting tidbits that I personally did not know and so am sharing it here.
Some interesting takeaways from the video include that opening shot, while Nick Grey is narrating, with the B-1B. That was our first image of Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan. That was our first image of Baghdad airport. I was so focused on the B-1 that I assumed I was looking at the Syria map.
The CH-47F Matt confirms is now the US version rather than the Italian version that was shown off in in the 2023 and Beyond video.
The M1 Abrams that appears in the trailer is the SEPv3 variant of the M1. Matt mentions that they have the potential to expand the ground vehicles to DCS World aircraft level. Terrain and damage details would be needed to get there.
Matt confirms that the F6F Hellcat is planned to come out in 2024.
He also says that they hope to see the Kiowa release in 2024.
That’s all that was new that I picked out but you of course may have spotted something else so let me know if you did notice something in the comments. Great to, of course, see Matt Wagner on the show and looking forward to those future DCS updates.
