Another new aircraft on the way that will surely interesting fans of military aircraft types. AzurPoly, makers of the C-160 Transall for Microsoft Flight Simulator, are reporting that their OV-10 Bronco has now entered into beta testing. Here’s a look at the latest.

Entering into beta testing

This twin turboprop light attack and forward air controller aircraft is quite an interesting one. Developed in the 1960s to perform counter insurgency operations, the Bronco has served in limited numbers with a variety of air forces including three branches of the US military, the Philippine Air Force, Germany, Indonesia and others.

Azur Poly have been busy creating the aircraft over the last several months and reported in December that their modeling and texturing work was nearing completion. Sound was also reportedly in a good place with the sound samples having been recorded from a real OV-10. The aircraft will also have animated antennas, animated canopy with vibrations, and custom tire compression animation.

The product is now in beta testing as of last week suggesting that release could be coming before too long.

  2. Things like this really make me wish DCS could attract more third party devs.

It’s unfortunate that most military aircraft end up on a platform that doesn’t support any kind of combat.

Shame that such a beautiful model can’t blow something up with those rocket pods.
