Widely regarded as Microsoft Flight Simulator’s most detailed, most in-depth general aviation airplane, A2A’s Accu-Sim Comanche has seen a series of updates since launch with the latest version, 1.4.7, marking a special occasion where the aircraft is now also available for purchase through the Marketplace as well as being available to Xbox flyers for the first time.
Bug fixes and Marketplace launch
The Comanche 250 for Microsoft Flight Simulator, created by legendary aircraft maker A2A, has reached a critical new milestone in its launch history by becoming available on the Marketplace and being available to Xbox users for the first time.
Since its launch, A2A have been updating the aircraft with regular updates that improve features and fix bugs. Version 1.4.7, released on February 10, contains a number of fixes including better modeling for worn magneto, fixed cabin air modeling, and slightly increased engine wear at high temperatures.
A2A’s Accu-Sim technology externalizes a lot of the systems for the aircraft and runs its own custom coding for quite a few of the aircraft’s features. It’s not unheard of with elements of several airliner projects also using the same approach but it is rarer in general aviation aircraft modeling circles and A2A’s in-depth system and engine persistence features are apparently a cut above. That they were able to get it working on Xbox is all the more remarkable with the limitations of that platform.
With premium features comes a more premium price and the aircraft is available via Marketplace or, for PC flyers, on the A2A webstore for $49.99 USD.
