Regular IL-2 multiplayer pilots will know that Combat Box, one of the communities more popular servers, has mostly catered to the western front content of the IL-2 series. Now the multiplayer group are going east with Combat Box: Kuban!

New server experience

Launching today, Combat Box’s new Kuban scenario is being hyped up a bit as the community server offers up some eastern front combat to compliment the server’s already well known western front scenarios.

According to posts by the administrators on their Discord server, the scenario has been created using the same “Apollo” campaign framework that other scenarios on the server operate with. It’s also catering to an aircraft set that includes types from Battle of Stalingrad and Battle of Kuban primarily with a 1943 era set. That also includes Collector Planes like the Bf109G-6, La-5F (and FN), U-2VS, Li-2 and others.
