The version 2 update for Just Flight’s BAe 146 for Microsoft Flight Simulator is now out. The updated airliner boasts a bunch of new features and revisions ensuring that their first airliner release on the platform is up to the latest standards for the simulator.

Now flying V2

Just Flight have a couple of airliners on offer now for Microsoft Flight Simulator. While competitors are offering up some very conventional 737 and A320 related products, Just Flight are doing some more classic and unique offerings. Their F28 Professional product was preceded by the 146 Professional and while quite a few have remarked at how good the product was, things have continued to develop for the sim and Just Flight have continued as well.

The latest update includes a new custom-coded UNS-1 FMS with support for holds, SIDs, STARs, real time performance calculations and more. There’s also a completely revamped passenger cabin and galleys with crew lighting controls, call light annunciations, a custom music player, passenger and service door and stair controls, and even a galley coffee maker “functions” complete with sound effects. Just Flight have also been busy adding a new interactive yoke-mounted checklist and glareshield clipboard papers. All new in version 2.

There are also updates to the EFB with a new passenger and cargo boarding system, integration with GSX, and even boarding/deboarding sounds.

In addition, there are new liveries and a host of other improvements on prior features. The complete changelog is available here.

Just Flight are offering version 2 right now on their store and they are also reminding us that a sale is currently on bringing the $69.99 USD price down to $52.49. Check out the 146 Professional store page here.

  1. Not exactly my style of plane, but I have seen a lot of very good reviews about it. Seems to be very well put together.

I’ve heard great things about it. I may eventually get to it or the soon to be released Avro RJ which is a slightly newer version (with some Canadian service).

Again one of those hifi airliners where engine 2 mirrors engine 1 parameters (and engine 3 and engine 4). The Maddog did better in 1998.

They are mirrored exactly? I don’t have the aircraft yet so I haven’t seen the engine readout.
