Amidst yesterday’s conflict, there was little room to admire some upcoming work, however, we have a great little video by Polychop showing off the latest on the OH-58D. Hopefully this video portents some good things to come on the scout chopper.

Short but sweet

Polychop have released a new YouTube short that probably should have been a full video on YouTube. It’s a lengthy cinematic teasing the OH-58 and showing it off in a variety of scenarios both inside and outside the cockpit with various systems being employed.

This is the most complete we’ve seen the module yet and the most “release” trailer-esq content that we’ve seen as well. Hopefully this video means that the release is coming sooner than later. Together with the DCS: AH-64 and DCS: CH-47, we’ll have a majority of US Army aviation helicopters to fly joint missions with.

Another commenter was reporting that their posts weren’t going through. I’m going to have to look into that!

While I appreciate the HH-60 mod, I do so wish it to be a Full Fidelity official module.

Other than the A-4, all the mods “look like” mods. They just don’t have the insane amount of time/skills to make their mods look like Official modules.

In any case, yeah, I can “suffer” along with it considering the price and that it’s still the backbone helo of the free world.

Once Chinook is here, tho… 😉

In re Kiowa, oh yeah – i’ll take that over Apache. I just feel too detached from the action in Apache when piloting, and since piloting is my “thing”, I can’t give the CPG the attention it deserves. So I carry on with BlackShark as my main attack chopper.

Kiowa will be GREAT for flying and “scout/sniper” duties, day or night. 🙂
