A new update from PMDG’s Robert S. Randazzo has new images of the Boeing 777 that they are working on and are presumably getting close to launching for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Let’s have a look at the screenshots and the latest news.
New images, info

In the latest status update from PMDG, we have a close look at some cockpit details for the upcoming 777 that they are releasing. We’ve got some nice images of some of the instruments in the cockpit including displays as well as a bit of a pulled back image from outside the cabin.
The update spends quite a bit of time talking about the dirt and grime that they are in the process of adding to give the cockpit an appropriately weathered visual. It sounds like the reference 777 they looked at was well used, 12-years of service, but relatively clean and well taken care of. Always nice to know.
The other image, released in a previous update I haven’t reported on yet is below showing off the landing gear, wheel chocks, and the reflections evident in the undersurface of the fuselage. The 777-300ER is also confirmed as being the first to release – something I’m not sure if I’ve reported on previously. That’s an interesting turn of events as many assumed the -200 might come first.

We’ve also learned that while the team are almost entirely focused on the 777 right now, once release is complete there will be a balance of resources going to sustaining 777 and 737. Some Sim Update 15 737 updates are planned and a few updates came out recently to solve a few minor bugs.
777 release can’t be too much longer now… can it?
