Content creators are going fast and furious over the last few days to give us some DCS: F-4E preview content. Let’s have a look at the latest videos and make sure that you’re ready for the F-4E coming next week on May 21st. Lets roll!

Gameplay, cinematics and more!

The content is flying around fast and furious with just days to go for the official launch of Heatblur’s long awaited F-4E Phantom II for DCS World. Several content creators have some preview builds

We start with Venom Cinematic who did this great 12-minute preview featuring a multi-crew setup with a human player in the back seat. Cinematic, action packed, and lots of fun. Give it a watch!

Next up we’ve got a trifecta of content coming from Growling Sidewinder. In traditional Growling Sidewinder form, we’ve got some good dogfight action in the first video with a Mirage F1 fight. Then its on to some ground attack action in a Luftwaffe F-4E. Finally, a terrific dogfight sequence in “MiG Killers.”

Next up, Tricker does a great job of providing an overview of the module and at the same time shows off one of the more exotic liveries available with the jet. Check it out!

Tutorials are key and we’ve got RedKite who does some great no-nonsense tutorials for DCS World modules. The F-4 tutorials are more of the same. So far we’ve got a tutorial for Mavericks and another for the AVTR recorder.

Meanwhile, we’ve got tutorials coming for the WSO too and Checklist_STT is covering the back seat operations with a guide on the radar and on the INS and navigation.

Last but certainly not least, Enigma has a bunch of videos coming out now too with “Interpret the smudges,” a guide on how to read the F-4’s radar. And then there’s another focused on the AGM-62 Walleye and GBU-8 HOBOS for the F-4.

Enjoy and look for more soon

I hope you’re all enjoying this content as much as I am. I am fortunately going to get a chance to do a bit of preview content myself so look for some early impressions of the F-4E coming up as soon as I’m able to.

And of course the actual release is not that far away either with the scheduled date being May 21st! Days away folks!

  1. At first I had little interest in the Phantom, it was never “my plane”. But then I figured I had to get it because of all the cutting edge flightsim tech Heatblur is putting into this thing. And now I admit I’m pretty interested in using those old fashioned guided weapons. But it could be months at least before I go A2A in this thing. Much prefer to move mud.

In any case, I’ll be up late Tuesday night I think.

    1. This pretty much summed up my thought process. I’m right there with you.

    2. The rear aspect only ir missiles and the self escort capability with many different new weapons to move mud along with the new tech put into it is going to get a lot of people by surprise.

I was in the same place. F-4 was a distant interest. Was.
