BlueBird video update on 757 showcases sounds

We’ve got a new mini-update from BlueBird Simulations on their Boeing 757 project. A brief mention of their presentation at FSExpo (which should be interesting) as well as a showcase of some of the sound work on the project. Let’s have a look!

Mini update on sounds

BlueBird Simulations have just put out a new mini-update for May with a particular focus on the sounds of their in development 757. The sounds are being done by Boris Audio Works who has become well known for upgrading the Aerosoft CRJ’s sounds and for doing some other sound packs for aircraft. What we heard on the video above is certainly impressive and I know the mere mention has folks excited about the prospects of this.

    I can’t wait for the Bluebird 757 and 767 to be released. Maybe one day they will do the 787 family.

    I would also like to say I think Bluebird Simulations could have a serious rivalry with PMDG in the near future because they both seem to be focusing on digitally recreating high fidelity Boeing aircraft. I recon both companies could benefit from this potential rivalry though. I’ve heard rumors that PMDG was going to make a 757 too, though I am not sure that it will happen though.

      A little bit of competition in the Boeing airliner space sounds like a good thing to me. BlueBird are certainly aiming very high with their product which I’m sure its gratifying for many to see.

      I’ve heard various rumours and whispers that PMDG have a “secret’ project but some of those have suggested its a non-Boeing type. They’ve also at various points denied that they have anything else going on beyond the stated 777, 737 MAX, and 747 projects but who knows.

      There are lots of opportunities here too for some folks to do various 727 or 737 models that haven’t been covered yet. I’m pulling for someone to set me up with a gravel kit 737 🙂

        How likely would BlueBird Simulations do their own 737, 747, 777 and 787 if PMDG beats them to it? Also, how likely would PMDG do their own 757 and 767 when (if they do) when BlueBird beats them to it?

        It’d be a tough market to break into but it’s possible if they offered something unique. I suspect folks would be interested in more classic variants with the right features.

        Nobody really seems to have a 787 coming yet but I think there’s enough interest in something of a higher fidelity than the one included with the sim.
