The folks at iniBuilds are gearing up for some product discussions and great sales with their Summer Surprises event kicking off later this month. We’ve also got an A350 sneak peak so read below for more!

Surprises, Live Stream, A350

Kicking off on July 15, iniBuilds are kicking off their Summer Surprises series with a few different components.

There will be a sale that goes from the 15th to the 28th. Discounts will be available on products from over 30 vendors and discounts up to and over 50% off will be on offer. They also tease some “extreme deals” which last year included some terrific airport scenery bundles for some very low prices.

There will also be a developer stream, scheduled for Monday July 22 at 1500 UTC (11:00 am EDT). CEO Ubaid and Head of Production Michael will be on to talk about all things iniBuilds and talk about past, present and future. Have a specific question? Send your questions in over here.

There will also be a presentation on their A350 Airliner project for MSFS. In the meantime, we get this work in progress sneak peak of the A350-900 and A350-1000 with shots of the winglets and one cockpit shot.

  1. I still don’t fully understand why iniBuilds is making a payware A350 and A380 when there are Digital Flight Dynamics are making a freeware A350 and Flybywire is making a freeware A380 which the latter is close to being finished. I am genuinely curious to why iniBuilds are making these aircraft. What will make them better than their freeware counterparts? Is there not the possibility that most people will go for the freeware A350 and A380?

Obviously I can only offer conjecture on why they are creating what they are creating but generally speaking its usually because they think there’s a market for the aircraft and their dev team are interested in doing the type. Other factors probably also include data that they may have been collecting for a while.

Now as to the freeware aircraft thing. I’m a big believer in community freeware, however, there are lengthy lists of freeware projects that exist or have existed and then fall apart. I’m not fully confident that the freeware A350 will ever emerge. It might! But I’m not confident. With the iniBuilds one I’m reasonably confident and I suspect they will sell their A350 without any issues at all. And if we end up with two good options for an A350… all the better!
