It’s August 1 and that means that FlightSim Studio AG’s 727-200F preview embargo is up and several streamers are offering us a first look at the freighter jet for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Here’s a round-up of the currently available streams.
Streamed and available
A lengthy list of streamers have apparently streamed their first 727-200F preview. A few of those are now available as videos to rewatch on YouTube and so here are the videos that you can watch.
The first is a roughly 45 minute look at the aircraft by British Avgeek who has done a lot of airliner content in the past. The video includes a in-depth look at the EFB, a pretty good look at the optional automation for the engineering station control, the cabin, cargo hold, CIVA INS setup, and more.
Then we have V1-Simulations with another look at the aircraft. This is a 3 hour stream so if you really want to buckle in and watch the stream you certainly can. The video covers a similar range of topics and V-1 gives a thumbs up on the hand flying aspect of the aircraft too.
More previews are surely on their way so keep an eye out for those to appear in the coming days.
FSS are now targeting August 6 at around 8:00 UTC as the release date and time of the 727-200F. Pricing has been revealed to be €40/$42 USD which is very reasonable for a larger complex jet like this one. Additional variants of the 727 are due later on but for now this is the release of just the freighter variant.
