Now that its out in the latest hot fix update for DCS World, Reflected Simulations has released the trailer advertising his new MiG Killers Campaign for the DCS: F-4E Phantom. Have a look!

The first Top Gun class

Before Top Gun the movie and the F-14 made Top Gun popular in the public consciousness, it was the US Navy’s F-4 pilots who were going through the first class and looking to make a difference in the USN’s ratio over Vietnam. Reflected Simulations tackles this early Top Gun training experience with their F-4E based MiG Killers. The campaign obviously subs in the Navy version of the Phantom (which we don’t yet have) for the USAF but I think that’s a very small price to pay for what is likely to be a very immersive campaign.

The campaign includes a total of 45 mission files with 12 scenarios per play through and heavily randomized and replayable scenarios. There are thousands of custom voice overs, detailed briefings, kneeboard and documentation, and historically accurate liveries. The DCS: F-4E and DCS: Nevada Test and Training Range and the price is $11.99 USD.

  1. It was a Day One purchase for me and have kicked it off with the first mission – lots of good documentation and really looking forward to the first combat hops to check out the randomizer.

Congrats to Reflected for another great campaign

  2. Not a fan of these “training” Campaigns to be honest. I find the Combat ones a lot more immersive and interesting. Weasels over Syria, Operation Cerberus North were awesome.

Anything in Las Vegas/Nellis is a hard pass..
