The folks at Combat Box have come up with a new Apollo campaign (the server’s dynamic frontline system) based around the never attempted Operation Sea Lion campaign – the German invasion of southern England. Let’s have a look!

Unternehmen Seelöwe or Operation Sea Lion in English was the proposed plan for the invasion of southern England. The operation was cancelled before it began as the air battle over Britain turned sour for the attacking Luftwaffe. Though it never happened, historical what-if scenarios are common among combat flight simmers and so this scenario for the IL-2 Combat Box server looks set to offer an interesting time.

Coming soon, an alternate history campaign loosely based on Operation Sealion – the German plan to invade Great Britain. This is own fan-made campaign for the Apollo campaign system on the Combat Box server for IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles:

Look for the server’s usual moving frontline operation as both teams fight it out for control of the south of England. No date is given except to say that it is coming soon. Look out for it!
