Get into a first generation jet trainer and fly the T-33 with iniBuilds’ newest aircraft release for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This aircraft has been created with a long list of features, a real world T-33 collaboration, and it’s looking pretty interesting. Let’s have a look!

Fly the Shooting Star

First generation jet fighter pilots in the USAF and beyond flew Lockheed’s T-33 Shooting Star. Itself very closely derived from the P-80 and F-80, this two seat trainer saw over 6,500 built and the last of them were retired in 2017. That’s a good long run!

iniBuilds have thrown quite a bit into the package including the usual high resolution textures, sounds recorded from the real world airplane, there are two cockpit variations with a classic and a modern glass setup, an EFB with toggleable canopy covers, ladder, engine plugs, and pitot covers. There’s also airshow configuration options for flares and smoke trails.

If you buy from iniBuilds, the aircraft will also be configurable with decorative bombs and rockets on the wing pylons. The eventual Marketplace release will not have the same option.

The aircraft is available from iniBuilds for £19.99 GBP (which they calculate out to be roughly €23.76 EUR or $26.3 USD depending on exchange at the time). Learn more over on the iniBuilds store website.

  1. You ever wonder if iniBuilds would enter the DCS market. I’m sure they would make great quality high fidelity aircraft.

  2. imo, DCS isnt some ‘super platform’ for devs to develop for. I think with MSFS platform they have more ‘free space’ to develop the product they want.
