DCS: F-14 is one of that sim’s best modules ever produced and so any time there’s new content for the jet I think it’s pretty exciting. Reflected Simulations has made quite a bit of content supporting the jet and now there’s a new free scenario coming in that should be interesting to see. Let’s look at that plus other updates from Reflected Simulations.

Fear the Bones, Speed & Angels, Zone 5, free stuff

An update to the freely available Fear the Bones practice mission is coming soon in a new update and its being joined by a new free scenario based on the Speed & Angels campaign. The scenario is a cold and dark case I recovery practice mission, however, the details are are ramped up a bit with voice overs, hand gesture support, and a full carrier deck for added immersion.

Zone 5 is getting an update as well with some realism updates. Notably, all of the sun-shelters at Nellis AFB are being removed as they weren’t there at the time that the campaign is set. And Reflected says that their removal helps boost framerates a bit. Not bad!

There’s also a new supercarrier skin that is shipping with the updated campaigns darkening the carrier deck. See if you like the change!

Check out Fear the Bones, Speed & Angels, and Zone 5 campaigns on the DCS E-Shop.

  1. Things like this are the reason I always pay full price for his campaigns – and do it with a smile. 🙂
