Always love to hear about a BlueBird Simulations update for their 757 and this latest one really satisfies the auditory senses by showing off their audio work in progress. They also briefly talk about the project’s 2020 and 2024 plans. Let’s have a look!

Elephant in the room

BlueBird Simulations latest video addresses the MSFS 2020 vs 2024 issue very directly. The company intends to offer their 757 for 2020 first and then will release a 2024 version as a free update later. They’ve been planning for a 2020 release since their first started publicly talking about the product so they intend to stick with that plan.

Talking with Boris Audioworks

The next part of the video is focused on hearing from Boris from Boris Audioworks. What follows is a cinematic showcase of the sounds of the aircraft in most phases of flight. Start-up and shut down are reportedly still in progress but takeoff, cruise and landing are covered.

We can hear the engines on taxi, on takeoff, at cruise and going into landing and from multiple viewpoints from both the cockpit and looking out from the cabin onto the wing. There are also multiple voice overs from the cabin and cockpit crews. I have to say that it sounds great and if it ends up being this good in the finished product, it will be a very enjoyable audio experience. Listen in!

The next video is planning to be focused on systems. The video ends with the message that the company intends to get the product right and that they aren’t going to rush their 757. It’ll be finished when its finished… and hopefully it will be a masterpiece.

  1. Sounds really good! Love that buzz saw sound on takeoff.

Possible typo/slip-up in the second paragraph, unless SimWorks Studios is somehow a partner in this and I just didn’t know it (I admittedly am not following the 757 that closely).

    1. Ohhh that’s definitely a typo. SWS on the brain after a big status update and my PC-12 review. Phew! 🙂

  2. Do you think that BlueBird Simulations will do more planes in the future or will they likely just keep on enhancing their 757, 767 and 787 after all three families are made? I’ve heard that they want to go into the X-Plane market as as well, and they might just end up remaking their existing products for X-plane. Nevertheless I think that they have done a wonderful job with their 757 so far, and I am looking forwards to purchasing it.
