The latest Famous Flyer has launched and it is the slightly delayed and highly anticipated Boeing 707-320C. This is Famous Flyer 10 and while it was intended for a July launch, the product was held back for a little longer while the team put some finishing touches on it. It’s now here and available for purchase in the MSFS Marketplace. Let’s have a look!

The classic 707

We’ve got a new classic airliner, the Boeing 707, coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator today. The aircraft is Famous Flyer 10 and after some delays the project is now ready for us to purchase in the marketplace. The aircraft includes six liveries including Boeing Delivery, World Travel, Pacifica, Orbit, Emerald Harbor and PanAm. Nice to see some real world ones in the mix next to a couple of fictious ones.

The version specifically represented is the 707-320C with a larger cargo door offering the ability for the aircraft to be used with passengers and cargo. Airlines flying the 337 produced include Northwest, Pan Am, Air France, and Braniff.

I haven’t had a chance to fly it just yet but the airplane reportedly comes with VOR and GNS530 GPS navigation options. Community members are reporting that INS is to be added later by developer Aeroplane Heaven though I haven’t been able to confirm that by direct quote yet.

Famous Flyer 10: Boeing 707-320C is available in the MSFS Marketplace for $14.99 USD. Read more about it here!

  1. Excited to finally be able to fly the 707! I’m not expecting too much in the way of fidelity, but all the same I hope to be pleasantly surprised.

    1. Fingers crossed. I’m hearing a lot of negative comments so far. Hopefully not as bad as some are reporting.

      1. Oh man, I watched a video and it looked and sounded like an old FS9 freeware. 😭

At least there are plenty of other planes out there.

      2. Comments on the YT thread suggest that there is a lot of mistrust in the community voiced harshly towards the 3rd party developer responsible for this 707.

      3. Indeed. Aeroplane Heaven have a chequered reputation with some good products and some that garnered less than stellar reviews.

I’m withholding some judgement as at least a couple of reported beta testers say some of the bugs weren’t there or were solved in testing.

    1. Such an incredible airframe and story. It looks like this one may be a bit of a stinker for MSFS. Gathering some more information.

      1. That’ll be a shame. I always wanted to experience a proper B707 after that good B720 free mod from X-plane. Thought I’d take advantage of my Premium Deluxe discount on this too. Let’s keep an eye out for the initial review sources I guess.

  3. Sadly, I have yet to see a SINGLE positive review of this addon. Even from guys who allow for “mid-grade” addons.

Seems like Aeroplane Heaven bit off way more than they can chew with this one.

    A crying shame…

Perhaps it’ll get fixed, or whatever needs to be updated.

    1. If I find myself with an abundance of time I may dive in myself and see what it’s like first hand. But what I’ve seen isn’t encouraging.
