The latest developer blog from the 1CGS team is talking about new crater effects coming in IL-2 Korea. Let’s have a look!
New visual effects, gameplay too
A new developer diary is out with a new video showing off the new visual effects for craters. This is no longer a flat two-dimensional effect but rather a three dimensional one that has depth. That depth extends beneath the surface too so it can do things like cut into railroad tracks. Reportedly the same technology can also be leveraged for tunnels and for things like trenches.
There’s a limit to the number of craters allowed and apparently craters will be prioritized based on gameplay impact. The ones on runways will stick around longer than the ones in open fields.
