The folks at Just Flight have released a series of updates across their website and social media in recent days with new images and information on the status of three of their big airliner projects fro Microsoft Flight Simulator. Those updates include the Fokker F70/100, Airbus A300B4 and the Avro RJ. Let’s catch up with all of them!

The latest on the F70/100

The latest update on the Fokker F70/100 indicates that system work on the project is progressing well but isn’t quite ready to show off just yet. They say good things come to those who wait and I’m certainly excited about what will ultimately be revealed with this airplane.

Meanwhile the focus of the update is on the texture work with their artists updating the texture quality to 8K and really working on the fine details for the aircraft. These screenshots show off much of the work that has been accomplished. Here is some of what they had to say about the work:

The fuselage skin now has a subtle ripple effect, visible in certain lighting conditions, indicative of an aircraft that has seen many pressure cycles in its career. Decals have also been brought up to a higher standard, allowing you to get as close as possible without losing clarity. We’ve also added options such as bare metal cargo door latches and window frames which can be seen on specific aircraft. We will let the screenshots do the talking, but we hope you find the new textures as stunning as we do.

Definitely stunning! Read the latest F70/F100 Professional update here.

Airbus A300B4 update

The latest Airbus A300B4 update is taking a look at the lower section of the flight engineers panel. Just Flight are keen to tout their artistry in capturing the visuals here with decal systems in place and PBR textur work intended to make it look as authentic as possible. It looks outstanding!

The rest of the update is focused on describing the various systems from the bleed air system to the electrical as well as the magnetic indicators showing off what state various systems are in.

This area of the cockpit in particular is going to be unique to this particular rendition of the Airbus A300 with the iniBuilds version representing later models that did away with the Flight Engineer station.

A quick Avro RJ update and a ton of screenshots

Only posted to the company’s Facebook page and not on the website, we do have a quick update on the status of their Avro RJ project. The RJ Professional is the follow-up to their 146 Professional aircraft release with this airplane having a more modern avionics suite over the earlier 146. They report that, like many complex airliner projects, they are currently working on the FMS, the PFD and performance optimization and that it’s taking a little longer than anticipated.

Apologies for the delay in getting this one released for you all, we’re as keen as everyone else to make this happen just as quickly as possible. To that end we’ll be sure to bring you more information on the release date just as soon as possible. For now, enjoy this set of screenshots.

Just Flight are known for taking their time with their products and that nearly always pays off in the long run with some very high quality products for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The Avro RJ will undoubtedly be a great follow-on to the BAe 146.

Here’s the screenshots they’ve released from recent test flights. All of these and the update were posted to the Just Flight Facebook page here.
