The last of the trick-or-treaters have come and gone but the Halloween spirit lives on! Parallel 42 has got a thematic Halloween Camp upgrade to their Campout Utility for Microsoft Flight Simulator that seems to be right on theme. This is also a good opportunity to mention a recently released scenery pack from the developers that is sure to be spooky at any time of the year… Let’s have a look on the spookiest day of the year!

Halloween camp-out!

The Parallel 42 Campout utility lets you add objects near your parked aircraft. Not all that important when you’re flying into well appointed airfields but if you’re a bush flyer you may want the opportunity to add some extra accoutrements around your off field parking spot. That’s what Campout is all about.

The Parallel 42 team have added some new objects that are halloween specific to the latest update of the utility.

Of course you can go with a less spooky theme option and use some of the other objects such as pets, tents, camp fires, and lawn chairs. Works with any aircraft, anywhere, time limited persistence of objects, a pack/unpack utility, custom sounds and more.

The pack, complete with the Halloween themed objects, is available on the Parallel 42 website, on Orbx and other storefronts.

Widows peak

Microsoft Flight Simulator scenery options are always expanding. Parallel 42 have added a bunch of bushstrips over the last couple of years and their latest is quite a unique one from the looks of it. Located in Lincoln County, WY, this off field landing site has steep bluffs and difficult wind conditions.

From the looks of the screenshots, it looks like a pretty spooky place to land an aircraft or helicopter at any point in the year. Custom scenery, foliage, two grass runways, a bonus landing area and custom sounds round out key highlights of the scenery. Parallel 42 are really aiming to highlight the challenge of landing here so it’s bound to be fun.

Learn more about the scenery on the Parallel 42 website.
