A bunch of Just Flight Avro RJ content is now coming out as the developer gets closer to release of this high fidelity airliner. Multiple streamers have been releasing previews of the airliner and Just Flight themselves have come out with some good comparison information between the RJ and the 146 that preceded it.
Coming soon

Just Flight have posted a few times in the last few days as they ready their Avro RJ project for launch into Microsoft Flight Simulator. At the moment the team are focused on MSFS 2020 release but I’m sure a 2024 release will come. Meanwhile they are reminding people that the project is nearly ready and that BAe 146 owners will get a 20% discount towards the aircraft.
For those curious, Just Flight have put together a document detailing the differences between the BAe 146 and the follow-on Avro RJ. In short, the Avro RJ is more modern with more automation, slightly more powerful engines, an autothrottle and a few other creature comforts for the pilots. On the simulation side, Just Flight report that they’ve taken years of feedback on the BAe 146 and the latest work on the BAe 146 V2 update into account as they developed the RJ.
Streaming now
While the rest of us have to wait a little longer, Just Flight have released preview builds of the four engine airliner to streamers. Here’s a round up of some good videos to watch to see the aircraft in flight. Overall the aircraft is looking good though some of the streamers did seem to run into a few issues which may be user error or bugs in the preview build. Just Flight have a reputation of solid aircraft releases so I expect any serious issues will be squashed in time for launch.
