Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 update 1.2.7.0 is out and comes with a lengthy list of updates and fixes for the new sim. That includes fixing crashes, solving bugs, and adding the ability to enable/disable 2020 Marketplace content. Let’s have a look!
The latest update solves quite a bit
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 has certainly had a rocky start but a couple of hot fixes have helped stem the tide and the latest patch, update 1.2.7.0, should hopefully portent a smoother running future.
One of the big new features is the ability to take 2020 Marketplace content and enable or disable it. More ported content is reportedly on its way over soon.
Meanwhile there’s a lengthy list of updates that include fixing crashes and bugs. Aircraft also saw significant fixes fixing LOD issues, solving audio problems, fixing some of the naming convention issues, regenerating thumbnails on aircraft with updated liveries, and adding additional backwards compatibility fixes.
The list also goes into specific aircraft updates. The 737 MAX for example gets system, animation and lighting fixes and it also manages to pick up new official liveries from S7, Qatar, Alaska, KoreanAir and AeroMexico. It’s not the only one as over a dozen aircraft have updates in place thanks to this update.
Career mode and missions gets its own lengthy section too. There are fixes to live and preset weather, fixed aircraft sell prices, fixes to incorrect component wear, fixes to the special mission timer, and more. There’s also fixes to ATC shortcuts, fixes to bugs where a player can instantly fail a mission, as well as fixes to the excessive winds and turbulence in Career mode. It’s a long list.
The fixes also apply to scenery from various world updates from the very first one, Japan, right up to World Update 18 which returned to Germany.
