We’ve got some new info and a couple of work in progress images coming from Team Fusion Simulations February update. The team are talking about the Scharnhorst, a new status update on how VR is doing, and more!
VR, channel dash, and more
We’ve got a new status update from Team Fusion Simulations and this one starts off by addressing how things are going with VR implementation. Any time I’ve mentioned in the sim in the last couple of years, many of you have asked in the comments how the VR is coming along so here’s what they said:
We’re now on our 23rd testing build for Cliffs of Dover’s VR implementation, and things are moving forward steadily! Our closed beta group has been providing valuable feedback across a range of headsets and PC setups, helping to refine performance and stability.
That sounds like good news. It doesn’t sound like its ready but that they are making good progress.
We’re also hearing that the map team has been busy working on the new Channel Map. Airfields are being brought up to 1942 standards and the team are busy adding details to them.
The team are also overhauling sounds with new weapon sounds and engine sounds being prepared.
KMS Scharnhorst is the focus of new visual screenshots. The team point out that the Royal Navy flags are placeholder and that both the Scharnhorst and Gneisenau as well as Prinz Eugen are planned so that we can recreate their attempted dash through the English channel.
