Just Flight’s F28 Professional, simulating the classic Fokker F28 airliner, is packed full of new features, new liveries and MSFS 2024 compatibility and it sounds like we won’t have to wait too much longer as the company have just released a changelog for the airplane as well as new screenshots showing off the new liveries. Let’s have a look!

F28 Professional update incoming

Five new liveries, shown above, together with a new changelog have been posted detailing the upgrades on their way for the F28 Professional V2. Just Flight released the classic airliner in July of 2023 and have been supporting it with updates ever since. The next update is a big one, denoted by the V2 or version 2 release, and it comes packaged with a lengthy list of updates. We know what most of those are including UNS-1 flight computer, new boarding and refuelling simulation, a new autopilot system, model fixes, lighting updates, and more.

Of course the other big piece of this is that this V2 upgrade will also make the airliner fully compatible with MSFS 2024 for the first time and is the second of Just Flight’s airliner series to make the move from 2020 to 2024.

No date has been set but Just Flight tend to hold off on talking much about anything until its about to happen. The appearance of the changelog likely means that we’re days or weeks out from the release. Stay tuned for that.

The changelog

Martyn, Development Manager for Just Flight, has posted the changelog in the r/MicrosoftFlightSimulator group ahead of the release. Here’s the changelog in its entirety:

  1. I wonder how their 747 Classic for MSFS 2020 is going, or if the project is still on track. And if it does get completed I wonder how it would measure up to the PMDG 747-100 and -200B.

Haven’t seen any mention of it. Right now their airliner projects appear to be finishing the A300B4 and F70/100. We’ll have to see where they go next!
