Eagle Dynamics weekly DCS World Weekend News has arrived for another week. This week we’re learning about some updates to the CH-47F and about some progress towards updating the A-10C II’s pilot model.
Module updates

Eagle Dynamics reports that the work on the next set of features for the CH-47F has been more complicated and taken longer than expected. One of those features is called DAFCS (Digital Advanced Flight Control System) which includes functions that include, hover, inertial and radar altimeter holds as well as velocity and position hold.
New flight planning functionality, improved damage system and more paint schemes are also on the way. Two new schemes are shown off in the DCS screenshots section with Canadian RCAF and Spanish FAMET (Spanish Army Aviation) schemes.

Another feature in development is the Extended Range Fuel System (ERFS II) with the ability to add three additional fuel tanks adding an extra 783 gallons and extending range to 1,000 nautical miles.
Meanwhile, an upgraded pilot model for the DCS: A-10C II is on the way.
We are excited to unveil our updated A-10C pilot, designed with highly accurate gear and visuals. The new, Scorpion helmet features a lightweight shell and tinted visor with realistic wear-and-tear markings. Oxygen mask connectors and straps have been precisely modeled to move naturally with the pilot’s head turns, creating a more authentic VR or TrackIR experience.

Reportedly, the finishing touches on this update are in the process of being implemented and will be coming soon.
