Plans are coming together for SimWorks Studios to launch their next Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024 product. The GA-8 Airvan is deep into development and nearly ready to launch. The latest update focuses on their plans for that launch.

Airvan planning

The GA-8 Airvan from SimWorks Studios is nearly ready to go and the developer’s latest update on Facebook reports that they are fine tuning their launch plans.

The team reports that they plan to have the failure module release concurrently with the base aircraft. That is pushing the launch for the whole aircraft into mid-May. Meanwhile, work is also going on to bring the 2024-native version into release state too. One of the 2024 bonus features will be support for career mode features. Neat!

The developers now feel that they are likely to launch the 2020 and 2024 releases at nearly the same time. That also provides the opportunity to clarify their launch plans with the 2020 version also unlocking the 2024 version for free. Excellent news there!

Other product updates

Not too much else was said about their other products but we did get a small update saying that their avionics team are busy building their tablet interface out. The tablet is coming to the GA-8 Airvan, then to the PC-12 and then over to other releases after that.

The team is taking an Easter break and then will be back at it again with more updates and development. The Kodiak 900 is apparently going to be one of their next update subjects.
