Matt Wagner live stream details DCS: Cold War Germany

In the event that the barrage of videos from Ugra Media haven’t shown you enough of DCS: Cold War Germany, this new live stream from Eagle Dynamic’s Matt Wagner might help fill the need ahead of this new map’s launch. Let’s have a look!

Earlier today, Matt Wagner from Eagle Dynamics took to YouTube and live streamed for nearly an hour of DCS World flying over the map in a variety of aircraft. We got a chance to see Frankfurt, Fulda, the Baltic Sea areas, Berlin and more. You can see it from treetop level in the AH-64 and Mi-24 and at higher altitudes and fast speeds with the F-16, MiG-29 and Su-25 (note this is not the new full fidelity MiG-29 or the new free Su-25).

    Absolutely amazing. Will have to definitely brush off some dust from the good old trusty Mig-29 and defend the balance of power!

    i watched about half of it and then lost interest…

    Matt seemed rather uninspired and the performance was obviously unscripted.

    There were even a few “left-handed compliments” in re the dev methods Ugra are using vs the AFG/IRQ maps. Not bad comments, but again, just uninspired and unscripted coming together in unfortunates ways.

    id MUCH rather continue to watch the bite size videos that Ugra themselves have been releasing.

      I think it’s just Matt being Matt. I met him once and this is him ☺️

      The map is looking great. The long form gave me a good picture of how it’s looking and IMHO I think I much prefer Ugra’s approach here versus the satellite imagery they’ve been using.

        I’d love to meet him! I’ve seen several interviews which I enjoyed, and normally I love his videos.

        It just feels like his head wasn’t really in this one…

        p.s.: I like Ugra’s style, AND I do like how the AFG and IRQ maps have turned out. I think Ugra’s works best in a highly populated area like this map, where basically the entire place has been divided up into very small parcels of farmland, towns, etc.

        For comparison, I’m not really a fan of the ground textures of either NTTR or Persian Gulf, or even Syria – all of which have large swathes of open terrain.

        And this is well aside from the highly detailed mesh that ED has demo’ed in their new maps.

        Either way, I do hope that mesh technique makes it’s way to all the other maps – it’s stunning!
