A revamped version of Just Flight’s BAe 146 for X-Plane 12 has just launched adding the classic airliner to the newest X-Plane version and bringing with it a much lower than usual price for airliners. Let’s have a look!
Fly the BAe 146

The BAe 146, the unique and relatively successful four engine regional jet, has been a significant part of Just Flight’s offerings across multiple sim platforms over the years. The company released a version 2 upgrade for Microsoft Flight Simulator back in the fall of last year, released the modernized Avro RJ for 2020 and 2024 early this year, and now they have just released their X-Plane 12 rendition of the jet as well upgrading it from its earlier X-Plane 11 roots.
The package includes eight variants with passenger, cargo, RAF VIP and RAF cargo editions of the aircraft. Detailed animations, PBR textures, an EFB, custom system coding, detailed sound, custom flight dynamics, and a flight computer with LNAV and VNAV simulation, support for SIDs and STARs, and more. The aircraft also comes packaged with a couple dozen liveries across all of the different versions with real world operators.
Just Flight partnered with Thranda Design, a dedicated X-Plane developer, in an ongoing partnership between the two groups that has seen them bring over a series of general aviation aircraft and now this airliner as well.
Priced to sell
The most surprising part here is the price. The $44.99 USD price point is coming in at $25 cheaper than the aircraft was previously for X-Plane 11 and coming in quite a bit cheaper than some of the other airliners for the X-Plane series which tend to run in the $70-90 USD range.
