We’re just a few weeks away from FSExpo 2025 and the organizers are reminding everyone about the great list of exhibitors and events going on through the expo. We’ve also got a scenery release from iniBuilds that’s been created in celebration of the event being hosted at Providence, Rhode Island. Let’s have a look!

Your guide to the floor plan and the exhibitors

Let’s do a quick recap of the upcoming FSExpo. First, Friday is the big day of announcements with #FSExpoFriday Product Reveals. Over the last few years, Friday has become the go-to day for announcements from all kinds of different developers – big and small! Friday is when the reception and banquet are happening so if you’re on-site, be sure to check these things out.

Saturday and Sunday are chalk full of seminars and presentations. Learn about VATSIM, attend a presentation on how AI is transforming flight simulation, find out how flight simming at home can be used to aid professional flight training. There’s lots to check in on.

Of course the other big attraction on the day of is the Exhibit Hall. Here is where you’re going to find all kinds of exhibitors. PMDG Simulations is at 205, Thrustmaster over at 115, Miltech Simulations at 121, or how about iniBuilds at 401 or Winwing at 402? Just Flight (307), Parallel 42 (at 412), X-Plane (701), or Moza (122) are just some but not all of the folks showing off this year. I want to make special mention too of Combat Pilot at booth 608 which I know will be showing off the latest build of the sim. If you want to see that sim in action yourself, that’s a great way to do it! Say hi to Jason and the team there too.

Check out the interactive floorplan right over here! Or, maybe you want to check on the schedule? Well you can see what is happening and where!

Want a ticket? You can still purchase entry to the show here with special discounts available for FSA First Officers and Captains. You can also watch the show virtually with a $15 one-time purchase. That’s a pretty good deal if you can’t go in person.

The Stormbirds plan

Unfortunately, for a variety of reasons, I won’t be able to be there in Providence this year. I love attending the FSExpo shows in person but this year its just not going to be the case. I will, however, be reporting from the live streams also available from the show.

Friday promises to be a big day and I’m going to be live blogging throughout the day capturing all of the big and small presentations. I’ll also be doing coverage on Saturday and Sunday as time allows.

Fly into Providence virtually

If you’re not able to be there in person this year, you still virtually arrive to Providence with iniBuilds new Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport (KPVD) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The scenery was apparently a collaboration between the scenery developers at iniBuilds, the folks at Flight Simulation Association (the organizers of FSExpo) and the airport staff at KPVD.

You can learn more about the collaborative experience here on the iniBuilds forum.

The scenery hasn’t released just yet but I imagine it will be available very shortly.

  1. Looking forward to the announcements by Winwing. They will update us on the status of the Cyber Taurus (FFB stick) and the Radio and Audio Management Panel (RMP).

Combat Pilot seems to use FSExpo to present their progress. Looking forward to seeing how far they’ve come in a year.

I’m a bit disappointed that 1CGS doesn’t show off Korea. Perhaps it is too early in their development cycle. They really need to be there next year to advertise the new sim/game engine.

Flitesim promised to start shipping their FFB pedals this month, so there should be a demo at their booth. Perhaps some content creators can tell us how well it works. I also expect an update on their FFB base, which they pushed back to get the pedals out of the door.

Moza really shouldn’t be releasing new hardware (other than an improved version of their MH16 grip), but focus on fixing and polishing their software. But let’s see if they announce something new.

I also noticed that they have a level 1 media partner called BirdStorms, or such. Wonder who that guy is.
