We’ve got news from BlueBird Simulations with a whole new update video talking about the status of the 757, the 767, their progress on both aircraft projects, and they have confirmed pricing for the 757 which you may want to think about ahead of time. Let’s have a look!
Answering pricing details and talking product updates
Cutting right to the chase, just like the video does, BlueBird Simulations have confirmed that they will be offering the 757 with both -200 and -300 with both engine variants for $80 USD in a combined package (including VAT in applicable areas). It will be available through Just Flight, on the BlueBird website and through the Marketplace for Xbox users.
Testing is planned to begin soon with a stage 1 having a small group testing systems and features as they are implemented while stage 2 and 3 will add more people and will represent a progressively more complete airplane. This will take several months.
The video includes a quick look around the 757 cockpit and talking about some of the systems work that’s ongoing. They are aiming to simulate at a very high fidelity so engines, bleed air, PACs and other features have realistic interactions. Nothing new but always cool to see in action.
There was talking about the 767 as well with the model work on that project being undertaken by a separate modeler while the systems team is focused on the 757. The 767 model looks to be done at a very high level of detail. Crucially, because because BlueBird have built up their own toolsets developing the 757, they expect that the 767 will progress much more quickly once its time to turn their full attention there.
There’s also some discussion about release dates and how, to shorten it up, there simply isn’t one because the lengthy testing process ahead. They have a clear idea of what they are hoping to achieve and are working to get there.
In addition the video, there’s also been a release of screenshots in the last several weeks from the BlueBird Simulations Facebook. Check those out below! The team are also going to be at FSExpo with a booth so if you’re there, be sure to check them out!
