Just Flight’s 1970s era A300B4 Professional project for Microsoft Flight Simulator is coming along. Following their Fokker F70/F100 update yesterday we’ve learned more about what the team have been doing and what the current status is on their also in development A300 project. Let’s see what they’ve been up to!

The latest details on the A300B4

Just Flight are making progress on the A300B4 and the latest development update report that 95% of the exterior modeling work is now complete. Interior modeling is also coming along and the one screenshot shows us an example of the 1970s style seat texture in all of its glory – no nicotine stains here but they have joked about adding that as a feature. They also report that nearly all of the systems are fully coded: electrical, hydraulics, bleed air, flight controls, APU, engines and fuel.

Still in progress are their work on the autopilot and INS. On that note, Just Flight have revealed in the latest update that they intend to offer the aircraft in the A300B4-203 configuration with an INS as the default but will also include the UNS-1 FMS and TCAS VSI avionics as options. Other options are planned and they intend to share a full list once they are closer to release.

Just Flight’s niche doing more vintage aircraft continues to take their products in interesting directions and the A300B4 certainly looks interesting. Check out their latest development update here.

  1. I am sure it will be a wonderful aircraft to fly. They’ve been at this one for a few years now, so I have high expectations for this addon.

I hope that they continue with their 747 Classic once they have completed development on their Fokker 70/100 and their A300 B4-200. I know PMDG is doing their own line up of 747 variants, but I really think they need the competition in order to keep raising the bar of standards.
