Catching up on the latest DCS World news coming from Eagle Dynamics over the weekend and in the last week. We’ve got a new DCS campaign on the horizon and a new image and description of what the DCS: A-10C II pilot model looks like. There’s also some ongoing conflict with a few recent developments over with third party developer Polychop. Here’s what you need to know.
Pilot model for the A-10C
Over the years there’s been a push from developers, in response to community requests, to have 3D pilot models added. Its great for VR users but some folks on 2D screens also like to see the pilot model and so Eagle Dynamics has been slowly adding them to their aircraft. The A-10C II is the latest to get the treatment.

The company says that the 3D model pilot has been fully redesigned using updated flight gear, survival equipment, helmet, oxygen mask, and harness detail. There’s also a new ejection animation in place too along with limb movement and control interaction.
The project is still a work in progress and it doesn’t sound like its ready to go just yet but nice to know its coming along all the same.
Sentry Pacific 2025
A new 13-mission campaign for the DCS: F-16C is on its way making use of the Marianas Islands map. Study level tactical and ATC procedures, kneeboards, and sortie-specific checklists along with 3,000 lines of voice over are among the key features.
The missions sound like a mix of test profiles as well as full-scale combat sorties.
The campaign is currently in the process of being finished up. I would hazard a guess its probably not too far out from launch given prior announcements. Look for that soon.
Trouble with Polychop?
RAZBAM isn’t the only DCS World third party to have some drama over the last year. Sometime over the last several months, many of the developers left the Polychop team project citing a lack of payment. Apparently the dispute is in the hands of lawyers.
The disupute has resurfaced thanks to some relatively heated recent commentary, captured in this r/Hoggit post and occurring on the Polychop Discord with a back and forth between the community and Polychop’s owner, Sven.
It’s worth mentioning as we’ve not heard much from the developer for quite some time and confidence in the two released modules has dropped as a result of the departures of the development teams that were working on both projects.
Both the Gazelle and OH-58 are personal favourites so I do hope that both modules can be maintained and patched up as bugs come up. Naturally, reports that developers on the projects weren’t paid are also concerning though I have no way to verify it except that it is reportedly an active legal case.
