Ever wondered what all of these different types of weapons do in DCS World? The list is long and growing all the time but it looks like a new community website has arrived that might help with understanding some of the differences.

Updated on March 23 at 6:55 pm EDT – The guide has a new link

Check out the DCS Weapons Guide!

From brevity code, min and max range, to motor burn times and which aircraft you can fit any given weapon to, the DCS Weapons Guide looks to be quite a handy reference if you need to brush up on your types and capabilities.

The website seems to be quite well coded too with the ability to compare missiles across type with the information staying fixed in place as you swap back and forth making comparisons. It scales well too so you can pull it up on a phone or tablet while you’re getting yourself set to fly or already mid-flight in DCS World.

The website reports that the data comes from the DCS LUA datamine so the references should be accurate to in-sim values.

      1. Welcome!

I made this into a webapp (Apple’s ‘add to Home Screen, I don’t code much) for my iPad ‘kneeboard’ and that corrupted, so I had to go searching.
Here is the link to the dev’s Reddit page, if there are any more changes they’ll probably be up there.

  6. Hey all, John Kappa here creator of this little side-project.It started as a little experiment to see what I can do with some of the data from DCS. I’ll make some updates and keep it going. It’s on a free Vercel account at the moment with some limitations but we’ll see how far we can push it.As a fellow DCS and flight sim enthusiast, I appreciate the support, feedback and comments.
