Microsoft Flight Simulator aircraft developer Just Flight says that “all hands now on deck” to bring the Fokker 70 and Fokker 100 airliners to completion. Let’s check in and see how the project is coming along.

New beta tests underway

Just Flight report that extensive beta testing is underway with the team focused on bug fixes. While work is going well, they say that there are still issues to sort out. Some of that effort has gone into items like an update of the braking system including heat modeling and brake effectiveness as well as autobrake functionality.

Artwork continues to evolve too with the cockpit artwork having seen another pass to improve colour accuracy and give the aircraft a used workhorse kind of look. Just Flight is particularly adept at that kind of visual work so its unsurprising they are going that way with the F70 and F100.

Those familiar with Just Flight products will know that clean, fresh out of the factory aircraft just aren’t our thing, and we much prefer to depict an aircraft that has been a workhorse for the airlines it served.

25 unique cabins have also been done with a mix of classic and modern designs as well as galley simulation, interactive doors, and the usual mix of digital music player and other features we’ve seen on the Avro RJ, BAe 146, and F28.
