FlightSim Studio AG has done a status update on some of their major projects while revealing a new collaboration and new airliner project at FSExpo. The new airliner is the Tupolev Tu-154M and the project is a new partnership between FSS and another developer. There’s also news about the 727 with a new V2 release planned and word that the E-Jets is finally reaching 1.0 status. Let’s check it out!

New collaboration and airliner announcement

FSS is working with Anatolii Lakmets, a Canadian-based developer, with good knowledge of the Tu-154M.

The aircraft has been developed for MSFS 2024 and comes with a 3D model produced by 3D scan, thousands of reference images, fully modeled cabin, simulated electric and pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, functional engineer station, failure simulation, original Soviet-era autopilot system, retro GPS (Falcon71 KLN90B) as well as more modern GNS530 and MX20 MFD. The cockpit will include an English version.

The aircraft will also sport FSS’ Crew Manager to help manage the three crew aircraft.

FSS report no pricing or release window but the aircraft is already playable at FSExpo today.

E-Jets status

E-Jets, after a lengthy development period, is hopefully now on the final stretch with the aircraft’s 1.0 release candidate now in internal testing. They’ve completed work on the autopilot, and completed internal products including the Primus Epic Gold Package performance calculator.

The aircraft will release for both 2020 and 2024, however, they report that ongoing updates will be focused on the 2024 version. A native build of the E-Jets will come sometime after 1.0 release while the 2020 release will remain at 1.0. I’m sure that will be met with mixed reactions.

727 v2 on its way

A V2 of the FSS 727 is on the way with native 2024 support as well as new features, walk-around support, external fueling, new textures, sound improvements and technical updates. They are also planning to do the 727-200 Advanced variant.

The update will come with a discount available for current owners.

  1. Cool choice of aircraft. Have there been any Soviet/Russian airliners (not mods) in MSFS yet? As far as I can remember this is the first of it’s kind for 2024.

I don’t think there are any non-mod Soviet airliners out there. So, yeah, this is unique. And it’s definitely got my attention!
