Interest is certainly picking up in Vector Simulations 787 Dreamliner for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The developer is tackling a complex high fidelity airliner that has, to date, not been tackled outside of the default 787-10 (and some associated mods). The developer has just provided a lengthy update at FSExpo together with associated blog entry on their website. Let’s have a look

Dreamliner coming to life

Vector Simulations FSExpo presentation has filled in more details behind the developer’s plans for the 787 Dreamliner. The developer has been keen to point out that they intend high fidelity systems modeling with realistic systems underpinning the displays in the cockpit.

The developer also showed off three different EFB systems with their own EFB tablet interface, support for the Microsoft EFB, and a recreation of the Boeing EFB system.

They are also touting realistic sounds recorded from a real 787 with photos showing a Zoom audio recorder in the 787 cockpit.

Check out these screenshots and then visit the Vector Simulations website for the full report.

  1. Do you think they will include the new 787-10IGW (Increased Gross Weight) when they release the 787-10?

  2. Competition is going to be fierce between PMDG, BlueBird and now Vector to see who can make the best Dreamliner. Do you think you’ll buy all three when they are all available and give them your own review?

    Thanks
