Microsoft Flight Simulator continues a business jet release streak with news that Contrail, the webstore now aircraft developer, is plotting to release their Falcon 50 based FA50 business jet on Thursday, June 25.

Tri-engine business jet on final approach

Contrail is throwing their hat into the ring of aircraft development with the FA50. Meant to represent the classic Dassault Falcon 50 business jet, this three engined jet is a classic in the Dassault line of jets and boasts some impressive performance and range with intercontinental capability.

The aircraft release is approximately two years in the making and is, notably, the first of the Falcon series of jets to arrive in the sim. The aircraft represents an updated version of the Falcon 50 with the EFIS upgrade. That includes a digital Collins 85C EFIS, Garmin MX20 MFD and a GNS-XLS Flight Management Computer. The cockpit takes on a distinctly mixed appearance with glass and gauge instrumentation sitting alongside each other.

Release is planned for Thursday and Aviationlads have a trailer out showing off the jet in action. Look for that to show up on the Contrail store for both MSFS 2020 and 2024.
