Following up on the 1500R Sport (I did a preview of that back in January), Emerald Scenery Designs has revealed the barely kept secret of their next aircraft project: the Pietenpol Air Camper! The project is midway through development right now and is being created in partnership with some well established industry veterans. Let’s have a look!
Classic parasol aircraft comes to MSFS

If you’re looking for something a little different, Emerald Scenery Designs is coming to the rescue with a second unique airplane offering. The Pietenpol Air Camper is a home-built parasol style airplane with classic routes dating back to 1928. The type has gained new life starting in 2015 when kits were offered again for the first time in decades.
The project is a collaboration between Emerald Scenery Designs, Mykrode, and Got Gravel – the later two form part of the core of the Got Friends developer group.
The Pietenpol Air Camper has been reportedly developed from a 3D scan, simulates a Continental A-65 engine, and will use a custom soundset recorded from a real A-65.
